Squadron 642-F on Vector: Served an active combat and later served as a lieutenant on Station 462(Abandoned) until the Autobot Takeover. Status afterwards was deemed beyond Autobot jurisdiction.

Cause of Offlining

Four factors have been identified in K36's offlining: age, frame modification, damage, and the final attack.

The Katalysm models are very old, produced before standardized serial numbers were introduced, and this unit having lived for almost 800k stellar cycles. The alloys that compromise K36's spark chamber have been shown to degrade to unusability from spark radiation in about 956k stellar cycles, with noticable degregation in output starting from 134k. Other core components, such as processor or spinal strut, start degrading after half a mega-annum.

K36's frame has also been heavily modified, with unusual locations for certain core components that likely caused them to deteriorate faster. Primary among the modifications is a subspace generator located in the lower helm. Subspace generators, especially the approximate model used, are known to release heavy amounts of dangerous radiation, as well as necessitating certain volatile corrosives to function. As such, they are usually located off the helm and are usually easily removable. It is unknown if there were any shielding measures taken to prevent processor corruption.

Reports of K36's arrest indicate a high amount of frame damage. K36 showed missing left back cannon, pierced armor, heavy denting, cracking, and scratching around the face, shoulders, torso and wingblades, as well as a cracked primary energon line. K36 also had a pronounced slouch and was unable or unwilling to stand up straight for photography, as well as K36's right optic was kept closed, the reason unknown. These damages, while not able to be analyzed in full, were suspected to be extensive and possibly putting a strain on K36's spark.

It is therefore able to be concluded that the attack by JGN-7H-034B is simply the processor that burns the complex down. Thus, 034B's testimony claiming they did not intent to kill is to be believed.

Notes:

Trace substances of an organic parasite found within K36's frame post mortem. Due to a Watch raised by the Sanitation and Foreign Contaminants Department, the frame has been transfered to an official laboratory. The parasite is currently unidentified.
